Privacy Policy

I am not going to write a really long and boring privacy policy like your probably used to. I will just write a short one that gets right to the point what we do with information we gather from you. All the information which Tiamat Studios collects is just to make things more personal and helpful to you. The information we personally gather will only be used by Tiamat Studios and never given to anyone else without your consent.

Tiamat Studios use of your information.

Tiamat Studios will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone without your permission. We will not give it to advertisers or other third parties without your consent. If such information was required to enable a third parties services to work for you we will ask you and let you accept or deny the request.

If you make purchases from Tiamat Studios Store we will have to send some of your personal information in order to ship a product to you. The information that will be disclosed is your name and address to the shipping company. But you already know that if you have ever purchased anything online.

We do not directly ask you for your credit card information when you purchase from our store. We use third parties such as PayPal to process your order. We do this to ensure great security over your billing information and keep your credit card information safe and secure through paypals advanced encryption. No other personal information will be sent to any other third parties without your consent.

We may place a cookie on your computer. This would be used only to make it so you won't have to write your password every time you visit. A cookie is just a text file that stores information web masters tell it to. If you don't want to allow cookies it will not interrupt your usage of our site. You won't be able to auto login if you do disable them but that is not a real problem.

Information we will collect will be things such as: your name which is used for customized greetings and to be more personable. Birthday will be collected mostly to send you happy birthday wishes and also special deals for your birthday. Your zipcode will be collected to enable features added in the near future such as: your current weather, what movies are playing near you, etc. Country and state will be collected so we can inform you of shipping charges and have an idea where our visitors are coming from. Your email address is collected in case you forget your password. You also can sign up for a newsletter but that is by your own choice. We may occasionally send you important updates made to Tiamat Studios but this will not occur often. You will never have to worry about us giving or selling your email to advertisers. (We hate spam just as much as you do and will not participate in any such activities!!)

Information that you don't manually give us that will be collected is your ip address. This will be used for Tiamat Studios.net features in our programs and for some services. For some features your ip will be sent to the end user such as direct connect in our IM Shell. However it will be encoded and protected to try to prevent decoding. In these cases you will be asked to accept direct connection or not you will have the choice. If you deny no information will be sent. Also for multiplayer games it will be used to let you connect to friends. But your plain IP Address will never be given out to people for any reason.

We will never ask you for your password, credit card information, or anything like it through email. if you get a message from anyone who claims to be Tiamat Studios that wants such information report it to fraud@tiamat-studios.net and delete it. Never click links contained in emails asking for your password! They can use those to confirm your email address or capture information about you. You are best to just delete it so you don't accidentally click it. If you are uncertain about whether a message was sent from us or not you can send it to fraud@tiamat-studios.net and if its valid we will let you know as soon as possible. Your account on Tiamat Studios will never expire, if you get an email saying it has and wants you to click a link and enter your information it is a scam DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. If you are uncertain just send it to fraid@tiamat-studios.net and we can tell you if it is a scam or valid email.

Third Parties use of your information.

The only information that third parties receive is what they themselves collect. As such Tiamat Studios has no control over the third parties information. We can however ensure you that we never send them any information you give us without your consent!

We use Google Analytics which may place a cookie and tracks anonymous information about visitors usage of our site. Such as what pages are most accessed, and what operating systems and web browsers our visitors use. This information helps us to improve our website performance and make your visit to Tiamat Studios more enjoyable! We are not responsible for cookies placed by any advertisers or third parties and have no control over their privacy policies. We can assure you that we will never send them any of your personal information without your permission.

Also we are in no way responsible for how other websites gather and collect information from you. Some advertisers may place a cookie on your computer and collect your ip address. We cannot be held responsible for other website owners actions or use of information they gather from you. Be sure to check out their privacy policies before you give them your information.

The main third parties will be advertisers but will also be companies like paypal, ups, usps, etc. Google Advertising is changing the way their advertisements work and because of this we are required to update the privacy policy to inform you. Google Advertising is a third party vendor which does use cookies to server ads on our site. They are now using what is called a DoubleClick DART cookie which enables them to serve advertisements to you based on your interests. You dont need to worry the information they collect will not have your name, address, email address, etc. You can however, if your concerned with your privacy, opt out of the DART cookie system at anytime here. This document may be updated at any time in the future. We will try to send you a notification when it is, but are not required to do so. Also you can check this page at any time to see when it was last modified. Also you can check the news and it will say when it has been updated. Both contain the exact same information it just makes it more conventient.
