A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort if you’ve got a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet surprisingly easy to use, and it will permit you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with only several mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you’ll notice a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a small sign conveniently located right next to each of them. With just a click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this feature through the menu that will show up. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
